AHS 50th National Conference, New York City
June 30-July 3, 2012:
Anderson Group American Harp Society National Conference Scholarship
(applications accepted February 1-March 15, 2012)
Congratulations to the 2012 scholarship winners:
Sarah Rose Clark of Hubbard, Ohio
Sarah is certainly deserving of this opportunity, undaunted, she has overcome challenges that would have stopped many in their tracks. Now principle Harpist for Youngstown symphony Youth Orchestra under Dr. Stephen Gage, she is a Gracious and Charitable 10th grader. An asset to her community and we are proud to award her this scholarship for the AHS 50th National Conference to be held in New York City and to play a part in her endeavors.
Anna DeLoi of Plaistow New Hampshire
Described by her teacher Stephanie Curcio as massively gifted and already featured, with other gifted musicians on BBC and PBS television and The World's Greatest Musical Prodigies . Her achievements at her young age are many, but our decision was influenced by her outstanding efforts in her community and the fact that she will surely keep the covenant and the mission of the Harp Society. Her hope is to inspire others, as she was inspired. It is our privilege to award her the Anderson Group Scholarship for the 2012 50th National Conference in New York.
